Hi everyone, I'm Yunru. I'm seriously considering flying to Seoul for double eyelid surgery. I've always been a little disappointed with my eye shape, but the consultations in Taiwan made me uncertain, so I started looking at Korean cases and experience sharing. Now I'm a bit conflicted—is it really worth flying there? Airfare, accommodation, time off work during recovery…it seems like a lot of money. I'd like to ask if anyone has made a similar decision?
I know Korea is indeed very experienced in this area, and the cases I've seen online are quite appealing, but I'm also worried about what to do if I'm not satisfied or have problems during recovery after flying there alone. Has anyone had this done overseas and could share their experience? For example, how to find a suitable place, whether there will be language barriers, and how to handle post-operative follow-up?
Also, I'd like to ask if it's more convenient to have it done locally? Or is the result in Korea significantly different? I'm really torn right now. If anyone has experience with this kind of international medical decision, I'd really like to hear your thoughts. Thank you!
