Hi everyone! I'm seriously considering coming to Korea for a procedure I've been thinking about for a while, but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed trying to figure out the whole trip logistics and costs. I'm from the US, so flights alone are already making my head spin, and then I need to factor in accommodation, recovery time, and everything else.
I'm trying to get a realistic picture of how long I'd actually need to be there — like, is it usually a few days after the procedure where you can't really do much, or longer? And has anyone dealt with planning flights when you're not totally sure how you'll feel post-procedure? I'm worried about booking a return flight too soon and then regretting it, but also not wanting to stay longer than necessary if I don't need to.
Also, I'm kind of anxious about budgeting in general. I know prices vary so much depending on where you go and what exactly you're getting done, and I don't want to lowball my savings and then be stressed the whole time. Does anyone have tips on how they figured out their total trip budget? Like, did you contact clinics beforehand to get a sense of costs, or just arrive with a general range in mind?
Any advice or personal experiences would be really helpful. I'm trying to be smart about this and not rush into it!

I'm from outside Korea too and was worried like you! A little tip: try contacting a few places first via email or WhatsApp (many have international numbers), ask for estimated recovery time and general costs—that way you can be more certain about how many days you'll need to stay and your minimum budget. I was able to book flights more confidently because I knew when my body would be ready for activities again, and I even saved money by coming during seasonal promotions. Hope your planning goes smoothly!
I understand your concerns! When I went the first time, I opted for a refundable accommodation and gave myself about 7-10 days so I wouldn't feel rushed home. The key is to talk to the clinic in advance (not just about the price, but also how big it is and what activities they can accommodate). It helped me prepare better.
I'm also considering this and I understand your concerns! I think it's best to contact clinics beforehand to ask for details about recovery time and costs, so I can plan my trip accordingly without rushing.
I understand how you feel! I'm in the same situation and planning my own trip right now, and it's really a dilemma. Balancing travel expenses, treatment costs, and accommodation expenses is so difficult... I'm thinking of emailing the clinic beforehand to ask about the general process and recovery time. At the very least, it should make planning easier, so maybe you should also try contacting the clinic!
