I was looking into vision correction and had almost made up my mind on LASIK, but now that I've actually looked into the downsides, I'm a bit scared.

There are a lot of stories about long recovery periods and severe pain, and I'm hesitant because I heard that glare and dry eyes are also downsides.

Still, since there are said to be many advantages, it feels hard to give up easily.
