Hi everyone, I'm Wei, and I'm seriously considering getting double eyelid surgery in Seoul. My main concern is the inconsistent results in China, but flying all the way to Korea is quite a hassle – taking time off work, finding accommodation, and worrying about post-operative recovery. Have any of you made this decision? How did you weigh the pros and cons?
My biggest dilemma right now is – is it really worth going abroad? Are some doctors in China capable of doing a good job? Or does Korea offer some unique advantages? I've heard that follow-up appointments are needed during recovery, which can be inconvenient if I'm in China. Has anyone experienced this?
Also, I'd like to ask how much time I should allow if I decide to go to Seoul? Should I stay a few extra days to monitor the results? And what about language and communication? Any advice? Please share your experiences and thoughts!

I sympathize. I'm thinking the same thing. Finding a good doctor and the post-operative follow-up are what's making me hesitant. But I've heard that many people who flew to Seoul came back quite satisfied. I'd love to hear from those with real experience about whether it's actually worth it overall.
I completely understand your concerns. I've also been there from China and struggled with the same issue. I think the key is to consider your expectations for the outcome and your own situation. Taking time off work, booking hotels, and post-operative recovery can be quite troublesome, but some people feel it's worth the trip. However, I suggest you consult with a few clinics first to understand the specific arrangements for post-operative follow-up. Some places may offer online follow-up appointments, so you can continue to be monitored after returning to China.
