Hi everyone, this is Qian. I'm currently struggling with a decision. I'm thinking of getting a minor facial enhancement procedure, which can be done at hospitals in China, but I've been looking at Korean case studies and the results seem different. However, going to Korea would require taking time off work, accommodation, and travel, which would definitely increase the cost. I don't know much about either option, so I'd like to hear what experienced people think.
My main dilemma is: doctors in China are also professional, so why fly all the way to Korea? On the other hand, after seeing so many Korean case studies on forums, I feel that the aesthetics and techniques might be different there. Has anyone hesitated between these two options and ultimately decided? Have you ever regretted your decision?
Also, how can I ensure safety and follow-up care if I go to Korea? If any problems arise after returning home, will remote communication be difficult? I know there's no perfect choice, but I'd like to hear everyone's honest thoughts and experiences.

I totally understand how you feel! I was hesitant too, and eventually decided to go to Korea, partly because I wanted to see the differences. But once I got there, the most important thing was the doctor's expertise 😅 Try finding friends who have social media accounts of beauty procedures at both places and compare them in person. Sometimes it comes down to the doctor's style preference more than anything else, not just the fear of having to go to Korea. If you're going, at least try to find a Thai friend who has been there before, it will make things easier 💪
I'm thinking the same thing, so I'm very much in agreement with you! I understand that cost and time will be major obstacles, but from what I've read, it seems that the techniques in Korea have a different aesthetic style that many people prefer. I'm also worried about follow-up if any problems arise. Has anyone experienced this situation and can share their experience? 😌
I completely understand your dilemma! I also hesitated between the two places before finally deciding to try South Korea. Honestly, I don't think it's that doctors in China are unprofessional, but there are indeed differences in aesthetic concepts and techniques. After seeing so many cases, I still wanted to experience it for myself. As for after-sales service, I had a few minor issues after returning to China, which I addressed directly via WeChat/email. They gave me advice, and thankfully, nothing serious. However, the cost you mentioned is a real concern. Holidays, airfare, and accommodation add up to a significant amount. It depends on your budget and expectations.
I was once in the same situation as Chen! I think the best thing about going to Korea is getting direct consultations and seeing the process firsthand, instead of just hearing about it from afar. Later on, if there are any problems, I can contact them again, and I can have my medical history recorded there, something that's difficult to track long-term in my country.
Chen, I totally understand how you feel! I had similar worries and ended up going to Korea, but I do have some regrets...😅 However, seeing the results after the procedure in Korea, the naturalness and meticulousness of the finish are different, so now I think it was the right choice. I have the same anxieties about aftercare and what to do if problems arise after returning home, so I would love to hear from other people who have gone through it.
