Hello everyone, I'm Xia. I've been considering getting some aesthetic treatments in Korea recently, but my Korean isn't very good, which makes it really difficult when I'm looking at reviews. Some reviews in Chinese or English don't feel very genuine, and since I can't understand the original Korean, I have no way to judge for myself.
I'd like to ask for your advice: how do you tell which reviews are trustworthy? Are there any obvious red flags I should watch out for? For example, are overly exaggerated reviews or those that promise guaranteed results generally unreliable?
Also, if my Korean is really not up to par, are there any ways I can choose a clinic with more peace of mind? Should I hire a translator, or are there other methods? I've heard about some platforms for international patient consultations, but I'm not sure if they are reliable.
Thank you all for your suggestions! I'm really looking forward to hearing about your experiences.

I love that you asked this! I was thinking the same thing. I feel like finding someone who speaks the same language or has similar experiences makes things so much more comfortable. I'm curious to know what method you ended up choosing and how it turned out ✨
I understand your concern! I'm not great with languages myself, and I found that bringing a Chinese-speaking friend to consultations was a huge help. The hospital staff were more patient in their explanations, and I felt more comfortable asking questions. But the most important thing is to trust your gut. If you feel the doctor or consultant is exaggerating the results or pressuring you to decide, then you should be cautious.
