I am worried because my child, who just started middle school, is stressed about their appearance due to a protruding mouth. Since they are going through puberty, it is a sensitive time, and I am hesitant because I worry that wearing braces for a long time might make them feel even more withdrawn. I am seeking advice from those with experience on whether starting orthodontic treatment during adolescence can shorten the treatment period.

It's actually better to start when they're young because it finishes faster~ Kids' gums are still soft, so ㅎㅎㅎ their teeth move quickly.
My daughter is also getting braces for her protruding teeth at Dream Dental Clinic in Apgujeong, and her treatment period is already nearing its end. She's also become much brighter~
Thank you~ I should get my child a consultation too!
I decided to get braces for my protruding mouth with the Killbone orthodontic treatment. I was told it would involve 1 year of that treatment to retract my lips, followed by 1 year of general orthodontics. It looks like it will take about 2 years in total.
