Hi, my name is Ja. I'm actually considering getting an aesthetic consultation, but I'm hesitant about whether to do it in Thailand or travel to Korea. There's a good clinic in my area, but I've heard many people say that the techniques in Korea are different. I'm wondering how true that is and if it's worth the cost and travel time.
Personally, I'm concerned about follow-up care if I have the procedure done in Korea, and I'm not sure if I'm prepared to pay for the trip. But I'd like to know what people who have had the procedure done in Korea think, and what issues I should consider. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I've been in this situation too! What I've learned is that if you decide to go to Korea, be well-prepared for post-treatment care, as the recovery time can be different from at home. I recommend researching the post-treatment procedures thoroughly before you go, and perhaps asking if there are any online consultation services available for peace of mind.
I've considered this too! I think post-treatment care is indeed very important. When I went to Seoul for a consultation last time, they gave me detailed Chinese care instructions and WeChat contact information, which made remote communication quite convenient. However, the round-trip airfare and accommodation costs do need to be carefully calculated; sometimes they aren't necessarily much cheaper than staying near home.
I was also worried about post-repatriation care like you, but luckily the staff there were very detailed in their care instructions, and they could even contact me via video call if needed. The important thing is to ask about the total cost (including airfare) before making a decision to avoid regrets later!
I completely understand your dilemma! I also struggled with the choice between staying in China and coming to South Korea. Post-treatment care and round-trip airfare are indeed real issues. After listening to many people's experiences, I feel the key is whether your expectations for the outcome match your budget, but this really varies from person to person.
