I have rhinoplasty scheduled for next month, and I am concerned about the timing of my flu, COVID-19, and tetanus vaccinations. Please let me know if you have experienced any discomfort or concerns regarding the effects on the immune system, fever, and anticoagulation before and after surgery.

Since pre-surgery vaccinations can affect your schedule due to fever and body aches, it is safest to allow at least 1 to 2 weeks and inform the surgery hospital or anesthesiology department in advance whether you will be vaccinated.
Please also check with the hospital to confirm whether the vaccine is a live vaccine.
