Hey everyone! So I'm finally planning my Seoul trip and I'm kind of overwhelmed by all the options. I know Gangnam is like *the* place for beauty treatments, but I'm curious what other areas people actually prefer? I've heard Apgujeong mentioned a lot too, but honestly I'm not sure what the difference is between them or if there are other neighborhoods I should know about.
I'm mainly interested in doing some aesthetic consultations and skincare treatments while I'm there, so I'm trying to figure out which area would be best to base myself in. Like, is it better to stay near where the clinics are, or does it not really matter? And does anyone have experience staying in different neighborhoods? I want somewhere that feels good to explore but also easy to get around.
Also — is it crazy expensive to stay in these areas, or are there decent options that won't completely drain my budget? Any recommendations from other foreigners who've done a beauty-focused trip would be so helpful! I'm still pretty new to planning this, so honestly any advice is welcome 💕

I'm really interested after reading this! How many days are you planning to spend? I've heard that the travel times to and from different neighborhoods vary, so I was wondering if it's better to book accommodation in one area or change neighborhoods frequently. 🤔
I'm planning the same thing! I'm also curious about which area is the most convenient for beauty treatments, and I really like your question about transportation 😊 Hopefully someone can share their experience here!
That's a great question! I was wondering the same thing. By the way, where do you usually make reservations for esthetic treatments? I'm worried about whether it's okay since I'm not fluent in Korean.
I was also torn about which area to stay in when I went to Seoul last time! I later discovered that staying along a subway line is actually the most convenient, because clinics are widely distributed, so you don't necessarily have to live in a specific area. I stayed in a more outlying area, which saved me a lot of money, but it only takes 3-4 subway stops to get to where I want to go, which is perfectly fine 😊
