Hi everyone! My name is Vy, and I'm currently considering a beauty treatment, but I'm torn between two options. One is to do it at home (in Vietnam) with a doctor I've found, and the other is to save up and go to Korea. Both options have their pros and cons, and I don't know which one to choose.
The advantage of doing it at home is that it's nearby, convenient, and I don't need to ask my company for permission. However, I'm a little worried about the equipment and experience of the doctors here... it's not that I don't trust them, but I don't know much about them. As for going to Korea, I've heard there are many reputable places with good technology, but the prices seem higher, and I'd have to take time off work and schedule appointments... which is quite inconvenient.
I'd like to ask if anyone has been in a similar situation? What were your decisions? Could anyone who has had the treatment at home compare their experience with going abroad and share their insights? Thank you in advance!

Wow, your situation is just like mine! I wanted to ask how much time you spent researching doctors in Vietnam, and did you get referrals from any friends?
Hi Vy! I was in a similar situation before, and honestly, what made me go to Korea was being able to research online consultations before leaving—so I wasn't going in completely blind. Maybe you could try talking to a doctor here via video call first to compare their approaches? But yeah, if your concerns are about equipment and experience, it's worth serious consideration, hehe. I hope you make the right decision! 💕
Hey Vy! I totally get the dilemma — I was in a similar spot before my last trip to Korea. Honestly, the difference in how thorough the consultations were really stuck with me, like they spent way more time explaining everything and asking about my concerns. That said, the cost thing is real, so maybe start by researching what specific procedure you want and see if you can find detailed before/afters and reviews from actual people? That might help you decide if the extra investment makes sense for your situation.
I totally understand the situation, Vy! I've also been contemplating the cheaper but farther option versus the more expensive but closer option. I'm curious to see if anyone has tried both, what they're like, and whether it's worth it, hehe.
I'm thinking the same thing as you! It's really hard to decide between the convenience of being at home and the quality of life abroad. I'm researching both options and would really appreciate hearing about everyone's experiences.
