Hi everyone, I'm Yunru from Taiwan. I've been thinking about getting some medical aesthetics treatments in Korea lately, but I honestly have no idea how to find a clinic I can trust. My Korean isn't great, and my English is just average, so I'm really worried about communication problems or getting misled.
I'd love to ask those of you with experience — how did you find your clinic? Was it through friend recommendations, online reviews, or do you have some other special way? Also, is it absolutely necessary to have a translator or Chinese-language service during consultation? I've heard some clinics have multilingual staff, but I'm not sure how to confirm that beforehand.
One more thing — are there certain things I absolutely need to check before visiting a clinic? Like the doctor's credentials, the clinic's operating status, that kind of thing? I want to do my homework to avoid making mistakes, and I'd really appreciate it if you all could share your experiences and suggestions! Thanks so much~

I totally understand your concerns! When I first came to Seoul, I had the same worries about the language barrier. Have you tried looking for clinics that have an Instagram page or Line Official account? You can actually contact them and ask questions in English through chat, and you'll get a sense of how responsive and friendly their staff are. It really helped me feel so much more confident, honestly!
I totally understand your concerns! I'm also a foreigner and I'm preparing for the same thing 😅 Personally, I try to find clinics that have English-speaking staff or arrange translation services in advance, and then I make an effort to read reviews from foreigners on various websites to see if they've had good experiences. I hope the people in this community can help us out!
Hey Yunru! I'm also from mainland China, and I'm currently considering some medical aesthetic procedures myself, so I totally understand your concerns. I'm doing research right now on how to find a reliable clinic, and I really feel that asking about communication methods upfront and verifying the doctor's credentials are truly important steps—let's work through this together!
