Hi, this is Hana. Actually, I'm really struggling with something right now, and I wanted to hear everyone's opinions.
I'm considering a skin treatment, but I'm torn between doing it in Japan or going all the way to Korea. Korean beauty clinics seem to have more options and a more advanced technology, right? But then again, considering aftercare, Japan seems more convenient... Honestly, everything is uncertain, including the cost.
If anyone has had a treatment in Korea, I'd like to know why you chose that option and what your experience was like. Language barriers and distance are pretty important practical factors, aren't they? Conversely, I'd also like to hear from people who are happy they had it done in Japan. How did everyone else decide?

Hana, I totally understand your dilemma! From my friend's experience in Korea, she said the most helpful thing was being able to have a face-to-face consultation with a doctor and follow-ups via video call if needed, so there's no need to travel back and forth. But you do need to be prepared to budget more for travel and accommodation, so maybe you could compare the total costs of Korea vs. Japan before making a final decision.
To Hana! I was also worried about the same thing, and in the end I tried it in Korea, but I was still very worried about aftercare. However, there were staff members who spoke Japanese there, and I was able to ask questions in advance through online consultations, so it was more reassuring than I expected. However, I think you need to be prepared for the possibility that you may need aftercare after returning to Japan if something goes wrong. I hope this is helpful!
I'm also torn between two options like you! The hardest part is that remote aftercare is really difficult to manage, but I've heard many people still choose Korea because of the more options and reasonable prices. Do you follow any Vietnamese communities there? They often share real-life experiences.
I've had it done in Korea once before. Personally, I liked it because I could consult with many clinics. However, you really need to consider the language barrier and the after-effects/flash-up process. If possible, try to find someone who has had it done in your own country first so you can understand your situation better. 😊
Hana, I'm also really concerned about this! Have you asked anyone working in Korea about the cost of aftercare? I'm worried that if something goes wrong later, it will be difficult to contact them again.
I'm thinking the same thing as you! Choosing between Korea and Japan is really difficult because both have their own advantages, but I'm also worried about taking care of myself later when I'm far away. I'll wait to see what others share about their real-life experiences to get more details! 💕
