Hi, I'm Kaede. I've been thinking about getting beauty treatments in Korea, but honestly, I'm not sure how to plan my overall budget or schedule. When I think about flight costs, accommodation, treatment fees, and potential downtime, my head just spins.
I'm curious—for those of you who've actually had treatments done abroad, how long did you typically stay? Do you have any tips on how to take time off work, choose accommodations, or anything else you've figured out along the way? Since I'm coming from Japan, I'm vaguely thinking I'd need at least a week, but I'm not really sure if that's realistic…
As for the budget, I know the exact cost varies depending on what treatment you get, so I guess I'll just have to ask detailed questions during the consultation. Still, I'd love to have a rough idea of what ballpark figure I should budget for overall to feel comfortable. If anyone here has experience with this, I'd really appreciate any advice you could share!

I'm from Japan too, so I totally understand how you feel! I think you should prepare around 1-2 weeks to give yourself enough recovery time without it being too costly, and you definitely need to ask clearly about downtime during your consultation so you can arrange your work schedule properly.
Oh, great question! How many days are you planning to spend in Korea? If it's a week, that should be enough time for the treatment itself. But some people who've been before mentioned you need extra time for downtime. The important thing is—after the procedure, do you need to go back for a follow-up appointment? Does that affect your travel plans?
Hey Mba Maple, I'm curious—when you were researching, did the downtime really require a full week, or are there some people who can get back to normal activities faster? I'm asking because I'm also from Southeast Asia and I'm worried about having to work from my hotel the whole time 😅
I went to Korea for the first time just like you, and I found that a 1-week break was just about right. Personally, though, I think booking accommodation close to the clinic and the train station helps a lot, since there might be follow-up appointments afterward. 😊
Hey Danpung, which procedures are you planning to get done? I heard you mention that the costs and recovery times vary quite a bit, so I'd like to know to compare with my own plans 😄
