Generally, you should wear a compression bra as directed by the hospital for about 6 weeks. It is safer to start using wired bras or tight-fitting sports bras only after confirming the stability of scars and implants and obtaining permission from your doctor.

Wireless bras made of soft, stretchy cotton or modal material with a front closure are comfortable in the beginning.

Generally, wire bras and high-compression sports bras are often avoided for at least 6-8 weeks (after the incision site/implant has stabilized), but the exact timing should follow your surgeon's instructions.

Initially, we recommend products that offer stable support rather than compression, such as front-fastening wireless bras with wide shoulder straps and bands, made from soft cotton or modal materials. If you experience pain, swelling, or pulling while wearing them, stop immediately.

Generally, for the first 4 weeks after surgery, it's safest to wear the surgical/compression bra provided by the clinic. Bras with underwire, or tight sports bras, should only be worn after at least 6-8 weeks and with your doctor's approval.

We recommend bras that are wireless, front-fastening, have wide shoulder straps, are made of soft cotton/modal/breathable materials, and have a band that isn't too tight under the bust. If you experience increased pain, pulling, swelling, or notice any unusual positioning of the implant, contact your clinic immediately.
