Hey everyone! So I'm at this weird crossroads and I'd love to hear how others have navigated this. I've been thinking about getting a procedure done, and I keep going back and forth between doing it here in the US where I live, or actually going to Korea for it.
I know Korea has this amazing reputation for aesthetic treatments and the clinics seem really advanced, but I'm honestly torn. Like, part of me thinks it would be cool to make a trip out of it, and maybe the expertise is worth it? But then I'm worried about aftercare when I'm not there, the travel itself, and just... I don't know, trusting someone I can't easily follow up with. Plus the logistics of taking time off work are kind of stressing me out.
For anyone who's done a procedure abroad (whether in Korea or anywhere else), how did you make that call? What made you feel confident enough to fly out for it? And honestly, did you feel like the quality/experience was that different from what you could get locally? I'm really not sure which way to go and any real talk would help so much!

I totally get how you feel! I've been in that exact same spot—wanting to make the most of a trip but worrying about follow-up care once I'm back home. I find the hardest part is finding someone you truly trust to provide remote support, since you can't always fly back. Looking forward to hearing real experiences from those who've been through this!
I used to think the same way you do! To be honest, I flew to Korea once and felt that trip boosted my confidence because I could consult directly and ask questions face-to-face, but you're right about the remote aftercare being really difficult. Personally, I think it would be much easier if you had a friend or family member there to support you, but if not, you might consider looking for a place closer to home first. 😊
