Hi, I'm Ann, and I'm currently confused about planning my beauty consultation trip to Korea. I'd appreciate some advice from those who have been there before. 🥺
I've started researching the costs of round-trip flights, accommodation while waiting for post-treatment results, the number of days I'll need to take off work, and general expenses, but I'm still unsure what to clearly state to the agency I'll be consulting with. I'm worried about unexpected expenses or staying longer than expected. Has anyone planned something like this before? My overall cost estimate is still unclear. 😩
I'd really like to know how much money I should prepare for a smooth trip, what questions should I ask during the first visit to help plan my flights and accommodation effectively, and how long the first visit typically takes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

I felt like this too when I first planned a trip to Korea for a consultation! The most helpful thing was, during the initial consultation, asking straight away how long the process would take, when I'd see the results, and whether there were any unexpected additional costs—so I could plan my vacation and budget more confidently. Maybe you could try contacting a few places to get a general idea before booking your flight? 😊
I went to Korea last year and honestly the most important advice: ask the clinic for a written estimate for the entire procedure before you book the flight, so you know exactly how many days you need to stay there 😊 and always have some budget left for emergencies, it's better than regretting it!
Ann, I had the same worries, so I totally understand how you feel 😅 I think it's best to expect the initial consultation to last about an hour, and then ask for details about the length of stay and costs during that consultation. Unexpected expenses can sometimes arise, so I recommend creating a budget plan with some leeway!
Thank you, Yasuda-san, for your helpful post! I'm feeling similar anxieties. My question is, when you actually go for a consultation, are there many clinics where you can book online in advance or where staff speak Japanese? Or do you have to find one on-site? 😅
I'm planning a similar trip myself, so I totally understand your concerns! My suggestion is to schedule free consultations at a few places first. This will give you a clearer understanding of the entire process and the approximate timeline, and will also help you better plan your trip and budget.
