Hi everyone, I'm Nan. I've been thinking a lot lately about whether to get double eyelid surgery in Seoul. I've consulted with a few places in China, but I always hear that Korean aesthetics and techniques might be a better fit for my face shape, and many friends have gone there, so I'm quite tempted. However, I'm worried that flying all the way there just for this would mean adding flight tickets, accommodation, and the time cost of recovery on top of the surgery fees themselves... it feels like a lot.
I wanted to ask everyone, if you've traveled from China for this type of surgery, do you think it's worth it? My main concern is the recovery period – I've heard it takes at least one to two weeks to see basic swelling subside. Taking time off work and staying in an unfamiliar city during that time feels a bit troublesome. Also, I'm not too sure about the budget; the information online is really scattered, with some saying it's expensive and others saying it's cheap, making it hard to judge.
If any of you have flown over specifically for this procedure, could you share your decision-making process? For example, how did you choose a hospital, and how did you arrange your time? I'd love to hear about real experiences, as this would help me better weigh whether the trip is truly cost-effective. Thanks, everyone!
Not sure which clinic to choose?
