Hi, this is Yumi. I'm considering cosmetic treatments in Korea, and I have a question about nasal filler injections.
I'm planning to go to Korea next month, and I'd like to get nasal fillers while I'm there, but my time before returning home is limited. Realistically, how long is the downtime after this procedure? Will it swell or become red...? I hope it recovers before I get on the plane.
If anyone has experience with this, I'd be grateful if you could tell me what it was like. Also, I'd like to know, for reference, how many days after the procedure is it safe to fly. By the way, I have sensitive skin, so I might be particularly prone to swelling...

I've been thinking about this too, so I'm very interested in your question! 😅 I've heard people say it usually takes a few days for the swelling to go down, but I'm not entirely sure because everyone is different. You should consult with the specialists there to find out the exact recovery time that fits your schedule!
Hey Yumi! I'm in a similar situation with sensitive skin too — did you end up asking your practitioner beforehand about the typical swelling timeline for sensitive skin specifically? I'm wondering if people with reactive skin experience noticeably longer recovery compared to others.
Hey Yumi! I'm actually thinking about doing the same thing on my next trip, so I'm super curious to hear what people say too 😅 I'd definitely ask the clinic directly about downtime since everyone seems to have different experiences—some people say they're fine in a few days, others need more time. Hope you get some good feedback from others who've done it!
Hi Yumi! I totally get the stress of timing this with your flight—I was in the same boat when I visited last year! From what friends told me, everyone seems to experience swelling differently, especially if you have sensitive skin like you mentioned. I'd honestly suggest reaching out to a clinic directly to ask about their aftercare timeline, since they'll know best what to expect for your specific situation. Fingers crossed you get enough time between the procedure and your flight to feel comfortable! 🤞
Yumi, I hope you're doing well! I understand how you feel, as I also have sensitive skin. A friend of mine who actually had the procedure said that there's a huge difference from person to person; some people's swelling subsides in a few days, while others have swelling that lasts for about a week. If you have a flight planned, I think the safest thing to do is to consult with the clinic staff about when to schedule the procedure. Because you have sensitive skin, I recommend planning your schedule with plenty of leeway!
