Hi everyone! I'm Hsiaoting from Taiwan. I've been considering getting some beauty treatments in Seoul recently, but I've been struggling with the language barrier. My English is okay, but not fluent, and I haven't learned any Korean. I wanted to ask if anyone has had a similar experience? Is it okay to just use English or my native language during consultations at clinics?
My concern is that medical aesthetics involve a lot of details and technical terms. If communication isn't clear, is it easy for problems to arise? Has anyone brought a translator or used a translation app? How effective were they? I've heard that many clinics in Seoul cater to international clients, but I'm not sure about the specifics of their services.
If anyone has visited a clinic in Seoul recently, could you share how you handled the language issue? I'd really love to know more! Thanks~
