Hi everyone, I'm Yawen from Taiwan. I've been thinking lately about whether I should fly to Seoul for double eyelid surgery. Of course, there are doctors in Taiwan who can perform it, but I've heard from many people that cosmetic medicine in Korea is quite advanced. Plus, I've always wanted to visit Seoul, so I'm considering just getting it done there. Honestly though, I'm a bit hesitant because it involves flight time, recovery period, follow-up care, and so on, which feels quite complicated.
Mainly, I'm unsure if it's truly worth the trip. For example, I need to consider airfare, accommodation, and the possibility of needing multiple trips back... Also, if there are any issues with post-operative care or follow-up problems, would it be more troublesome to handle them? I'd love to hear from anyone who has flown from abroad to have a similar procedure done. How did you weigh these factors? Is there anything I might be overlooking?
Also, if I decide to go, can anyone share how they find doctors or evaluate clinics? I know I can't ask for direct recommendations, but I'd like to know how you generally do your research and make decisions. Thanks!

Hi Yawen! I'm also considering this. Have you thought about consulting first in Taipei or elsewhere to get local doctors' opinions before deciding if it's worth flying all the way to Seoul? I'm curious how you ultimately weighed the costs and recovery period.
I'm also really considering this, Yawen! I completely understand the concerns about cost and follow-up care later on, as traveling from Vietnam isn't easy at all. I hope other sisters with experience can share more because I also want to know how they manage with remote follow-up.
I'm also considering this, just like Yawen! What worries me a bit is the cost and remote after-care, since I'm in Vietnam, I also have to factor in flight tickets and accommodation. I hope anyone with experience can share more on how to handle follow-ups later on.
