Hi everyone, I'm Dan. I've been thinking about getting some aesthetic procedures done in Korea recently, but I've run into a problem – my Korean isn't very good, and it's hard for me to read local reviews and forums on my own. I wanted to ask everyone, as a foreigner, how can you tell if reviews for a clinic or doctor are genuine and trustworthy?
I've noticed some reviews seem almost too perfect, with very similar wording. Does this suggest there might be fake reviews? Are there any other red flags I should be aware of? For example, should I be looking more at negative or neutral reviews instead of just focusing on the five-star ones?
Also, for foreigners like me who don't speak Korean, are there more reliable ways to learn about a place? Like through recommendations from friends, or international patient consultation teams? I want to make sure I make an informed decision and don't just blindly trust what's online. Friends with experience, could you please share your advice? Thank you!
