Hi everyone, I'm Tien. I've been planning to get a cosmetic procedure done, but now I'm really confused. I could do it in Vietnam for a lower cost and closer to home, but I've also heard a lot about the skilled doctors in Korea and their different approach. I'm not sure where to trust more...
I'm worried that if I do it in Vietnam, even though it's cheaper, I'm not sure about the consultation process and what happens if there are problems later. Going to Korea would be expensive, with travel time, but I feel like there are more options to choose from and the doctors have more experience. Can anyone share how they would think through this decision?
I'm especially curious: do you feel there's a big difference? Or is the key to finding a good doctor anywhere? I'm also worried about risks and aftercare... can someone help me make up my mind a bit? 😅

I totally get your dilemma! I've been torn between the two myself. I think the key really is finding a reliable doctor and a place where you can communicate well, rather than fixating on which country to go to. If you decide on South Korea, I recommend taking the time to look into real consultation experiences and post-surgery recovery processes. Get consultations from a few different places to compare, and that should give you more peace of mind.
I totally understand your concerns! I've consulted with doctors both in Vietnam and Korea, and the most important thing is finding a doctor you truly trust, no matter where they are. I recommend you look into a few places, ask detailed questions, check reviews from others, and then choose the one where you feel most comfortable and confident with their consultation process. 😊
Hey Tiến! I totally get the stress—I was in the same boat last year. Honestly, what helped me most wasn't where I went, but doing tons of research on consultations first. I did mine in Korea and really appreciated being able to ask a million questions in person, but I know people who had amazing experiences elsewhere too. Maybe try scheduling a few consultations (even virtual ones?) with different places and see where you feel most comfortable asking about aftercare? That's what made the difference for me, not just the location. Good luck with your decision! 💙
