Hello everyone, I'm Wanting from Taiwan. I'm recently considering getting some aesthetic treatments in Korea, but I've run into a really headache-inducing problem – my Korean is really not good, and I can't understand anything when I look at review sites. I'm really afraid of being scammed or having a bad experience, so I wanted to ask if anyone has any tips on how to judge whether a clinic is reliable or not?
I know Google and Naver have reviews, but I'm not sure how to distinguish between real and fake reviews. Has anyone encountered clinics that seemed perfect with all five-star ratings, only to later discover there were issues? Or vice versa, clinics that didn't have stellar reviews but were actually quite good? I'd like to know if there are any red flags I should watch out for, like certain wording or specific phrases that make you wary?
If you have friends or acquaintances who are locals in Korea, how would they help you assess this information? I'm also wondering if I could start by asking the clinic some basic questions and judge their professionalism based on how they answer? Feel free to share your experiences or advice!

I'm in the same boat as you, so I totally get how anxious you must feel! I think the best approach is to reach out directly to the clinic via email or messenger. See if they provide detailed and professional responses. If you're satisfied, then give them a call to hear their voice. Reputable clinics are usually more than happy to explain things clearly to international patients.
