Hey everyone! I'm planning to get a small aesthetic procedure done while I'm in Korea next month, and I'm honestly a bit nervous about flying back to the US a few days after. I've read that swelling can be pretty intense even with minor stuff, and I'm worried about being stuck on a long flight dealing with that.
Does anyone have experience traveling shortly after a procedure? What aftercare products or tips would you recommend bringing with you? I'm thinking ice packs, compression items, or certain supplements maybe? I'm not even sure what actually helps vs. what's just hype lol.
Also, should I be looking into any specific types of products before I go, or is it easier to just pick things up at Korean pharmacies? I've heard they have really good options there but I don't want to show up clueless. Any advice would be super helpful!

I completely understand your concerns! I also had a small procedure done in Korea and was immediately on a long-haul flight, and I was really nervous. My advice is to ask the medical staff beforehand about the specific precautions for flying, as recovery times vary depending on the procedure. As for products, I don't think you need to stock up too much in advance. Korean drugstores do have many soothing and anti-swelling options, so you can buy them as needed once you arrive!
Honestly I'm thinking about doing something similar when I visit next month, so I'm curious too! I've heard keeping your head elevated on the plane and staying hydrated helps a lot—also maybe just managing expectations that some puffiness is totally normal and usually settles down pretty quickly. Would love to hear what others say about what to actually bring vs. skip!
