Hi everyone, I'm Jiawei. I've been thinking lately about whether I should take advantage of my vacation time to fly to Seoul for double eyelid surgery. I've consulted with a few clinics in Taiwan, but my friends keep saying that Korean techniques and styles are really different. Plus, with the cost of flights and accommodation, I'm starting to wonder if it's really worth it. Has anyone had a similar experience? Like flying from another country to get this kind of surgery?

What worries me most is being in a foreign country during the recovery period, and also what to do if there are any issues post-surgery and I need to see the doctor. Although I know Korea is famous for this, it feels like the risks might be quite high too? And I'm also not too sure about the overall budget, as the information online seems to be all over the place.

If anyone has been there, I'd love to hear how you made your decision. For example, how did you choose a clinic, how did you assess if it was worth it, and how did you handle post-surgery care? Or is it really not that different to have it done in Taiwan? I'm really torn right now 😅
