Hey everyone! So I'm planning a trip to Korea in a few months and I'm interested in exploring some aesthetic treatments while I'm there. The problem is I'm really struggling to figure out which clinics are actually good vs just good at marketing. I can read a little Korean but not enough to parse through tons of reviews, and honestly even when I use Google Translate I'm not sure if I'm getting the full picture.
I'm wondering—what red flags do you all look for when you're checking out a clinic online? Like, are there certain things in reviews or on their websites that immediately make you skip them? And how do you even know if the before/afters you're seeing are actually real or just heavily edited? I've seen some places with almost TOO many perfect reviews and it makes me suspicious, but maybe that's just me being paranoid.
Also, if you've had experiences with getting recommendations from other foreigners vs locals, I'd love to hear how different those experiences were. I'm trying to figure out if I should be asking friends to help translate actual patient reviews or if there are other ways to vet places. Any tips would be really helpful—I want to feel confident and safe, not just book somewhere because they have a cute Instagram!
