Hi everyone, I'm Van from Vietnam. I'm planning a small procedure in Korea next week, but I'll be traveling for a few more days. I'm unsure about the swelling and what I should bring to help with my post-procedure care.
Has anyone experienced something similar? I've heard that swelling usually lasts for the first few days, but I want to be well-prepared. What should I bring from home or buy in Korea to help reduce swelling? Like a cooling gel or some kind of face mask? I'm also not sure what products I should bring back from Korea later.
Also, I'd like to ask if there are any daily habits that could help, such as elevating my head with a pillow, or what things should I avoid? I'm really worried because I have a very busy schedule. Thanks if you have any experiences to share!

Hey friend, I'm also Vietnamese and I've been through a similar situation! I found that the most important thing is to keep your face cool in the first few days - I bought moisturizing face masks from cosmetic stores in Myeongdong and kept them in the refrigerator, applying one morning and one evening made me feel much more comfortable. Also, remember to avoid spicy food, drink plenty of warm water, and try to get enough sleep, and your face will recover faster!
I agree! When I traveled to Korea last time, they recommended keeping cold towels in the hotel refrigerator and using them frequently on your face starting in the morning. It helps a lot! And believe it or not, drinking plenty of water and getting enough rest is really important. Hope you recover quickly! 😊
You're visiting from Vietnam! I'm curious because I've experienced something similar. Around what day after the procedure did the swelling actually peak? I'd like to know for reference when planning my trip.
I went for a post-treatment consultation with a doctor, and I recovered very quickly! I recommend choosing a cooling product with refreshing natural ingredients; that should help. Also, try sleeping comfortably as you lie down, because that really helps 😊
To Banip, I completely understand how you feel! I'm thinking about a similar situation, so this is very helpful. Korean cosmetic stores have a wide variety of cooling sheet masks and gels, so it might be a good idea to buy them there. Also, I heard from a friend that it's especially important to take it easy and rest after the procedure. Good luck!
Oh, I'm thinking the same thing! I think it's good to hear you say that. My friends used to say that you should drink hot water first and not eat anything for days, instead of paying later — I think that would be good advice.
