Hi everyone! I'm Wanting from Taiwan. I'm going to Seoul next month for a minor procedure and I'm currently thinking about what skincare products to bring for my home recovery period. I've heard the first few days after the procedure are crucial, and I want to make sure I'm prepared.
I'm wondering if I should bring cooling masks, silicone scar patches, or soothing gels? I'm not sure if these things will be cheaper in Korea, or if I should just bring them from Taiwan. Has anyone had a similar procedure and could share what you brought? Or are there any items you regret not bringing?
I'd also like to know everyone's experience – which skincare products are most useful during the recovery period? Is cooling compresses more important or moisturizing? I hope to be as thorough as possible. Thanks for any suggestions!

I totally understand your concerns! It was my first time in Korea for a treatment, and I was a bit confused about what to bring. In my experience, it's better to just buy some basic products there because it's more practical and there's a wider selection—but it's definitely worth bringing one or two favorite items from home that have been proven to work for your skin, as your skin can be very sensitive during the recovery period. Hope your treatment goes well! 😊
Hello Wan Ting! I'm also from Taiwan, and I've recently been considering going to Seoul for a similar treatment, so your question is super helpful to me! I'm currently debating whether to bring things from Taiwan or buy them in Korea, and hearing what you said makes me even more determined to prepare.
Hi Wan Ting! I also went to Seoul from China for a small procedure. I was wondering how long your recovery period would take? I'm wondering if I should leave a certain amount of time in advance to ensure my skin is in stable condition before I go home.
I also had a facial treatment abroad and came home, and I feel that moisturizing is really more important than cold compresses! There are so many drugstores in Seoul, and I bought soothing products there. You don't really need to bring so many from Taiwan; it will just make your luggage very heavy. I suggest you just bring a small calming mask; you can browse around for other products when you arrive—there's a good selection!
Hey Wanting! That's so smart to plan ahead like this. Quick question — have you already decided what type of procedure you're getting, or are you still figuring that out? I'm asking because I feel like recovery needs can be pretty different depending on what you do, and that might help you figure out what to actually pack!
