Hi, this is Hina! I'm going on a beauty trip to Korea next week, and I'm struggling to choose post-treatment care products. There are so many options like cooling sheets, silicone sheets, and soothing gels, but what do you all bring with you?
Right now, I'm thinking of buying things there to keep my luggage light, but are there any items I should bring from Japan? I've heard that Korean drugstores have a good selection of cooling masks in particular, is that true?
Also, I'm researching whether the necessary care products differ depending on the type of treatment. If anyone has experience, I'd love to hear what you found helpful. I'm a complete beginner, so please give me some advice!

Hi Hina, great job! I had the same problem on my last beauty trip. Honestly, there are plenty of cooling sheets available at Korean pharmacies, so I think you can get them locally. However, if you have a Japanese product that suits your skin, it might be safer to bring it with you. I wanted to use it immediately after the treatment, so I only brought a light sheet mask from Japan and bought the rest locally. I think the aftercare will vary depending on the treatment, so it might be a good idea to get instructions on aftercare from the clinic before you go shopping!
Reading your story, I feel exactly the same! I'm planning a trip to Korea next month and I'm worried about bringing makeup. I think it would be great if I could find things locally to save money, but I'm still not sure what I should really pack from home. Looking forward to other people's tips too! 🙏
I just got back from there too, and honestly, it was more convenient to buy things there because there were so many options and the prices were reasonable, especially for the cooling face masks! I only brought a few familiar products from home, and the rest I just bought at the pharmacies there.
I have a question for Hina! I understand that there are various things like cooling sheets and soothing gels for post-treatment care, but if I were to actually buy them at a Korean pharmacy, would the price and quality be about the same as bringing them from Japan? Also, would the things I really need differ depending on the type of treatment I have...? I'd like to hear from someone with experience!
I love this question! Actually, I bought a cooling mask from Japan before I went, but once I got to Korea, I checked out pharmacies and found cheaper ones! 😅 So this way I didn't need to bring another one. There's a wide selection too. But you should also ask the clinic what they recommend, because it varies depending on the type of treatment.
Hinaa, I tried the same thing! Honestly, Korean pharmacies have so many options for cold masks, but I preferred to get one from home because I was sure it would work. After trying different treatments, the simple, gentle ones were definitely better than the heavy ones ✨
