Hello. When is it safe to start using intensive skincare products such as retinol, AHA/BHA, Vitamin C, and exfoliants after facial surgery (eye, nose, or lifting)?
Please share the recommended waiting periods and patch test methods for each product, as well as your experiences regarding the risks of combining these products with lasers or fillers.

After surgery, it is safe to wait at least 4 to 6 weeks before using active ingredients (retinol, AHA/BHA, Vitamin C, scrubs). For lifting or nose surgeries, it is recommended to start only after swelling and wound healing have stabilized and the attending physician has confirmed the procedure.
Initially, perform a patch test on the area below the ears or along the jawline for 24 to 48 hours, then begin with a low concentration once or twice a week. Please ensure you coordinate with your hospital's schedule before and after laser or filler treatments, as there is a risk of irritation or inflammation.
