Hi everyone, I'm Chiawei from Taiwan. I've been thinking about getting a treatment in Korea recently, but honestly, I'm a bit overwhelmed by the budget and time planning. Besides the cost of the treatment itself, there are also flights, accommodation, food... it feels like the expenses will be significant, and I'm not sure how much money I need to prepare. Can anyone share how many days is generally reasonable to stay in Korea for a treatment? Can I return the same day, or do I need to stay for one or two weeks for recovery?
I'm also wondering if the choice of accommodation location affects post-treatment care. For example, would staying close to the clinic be more convenient? Also, I'd like to ask everyone, for my first time getting this type of treatment, is there anything I should prepare or pay attention to beforehand? I'm a bit nervous and don't want to be flustered at the last minute 😅
If anyone has planned a similar trip before, I'd love to hear about your experiences and advice. Especially on how to allocate the budget wisely so the entire trip isn't too tight. Thank you all!

Hi Chiawei! From my experience, I'd recommend planning for at least 5-7 days in Korea. The first day for consultation and the procedure, then a few days for rest and follow-up. Regarding location, staying close to the clinic really helps with peace of mind, but as long as transportation is convenient, it's okay too. My advice is to prepare mentally and have complete documentation (before-and-after photos, consultation notes) so you don't forget the details, and don't forget an extra budget for buying local skincare that might be recommended hehehe 😊
I totally get how you feel! I used to agonize over this too. Later, I realized I could actually be flexible with my time depending on the type of procedure I was getting. Some procedures with quick recovery might only need 3-5 days, but just to be safe, I still took a few extra days. I recommend chatting with the consultant about the recovery period first, so you can plan your entire trip and budget more accurately 😊
I'm also thinking about traveling to Korea soon and I'm in the same dilemma! 😅 I think we need to budget for the entire trip, including accommodation and food, not just the medical costs. But I hope we can find someone experienced to help us understand how many days are reasonable to spend there.
