Hey everyone, I've been considering getting double eyelid surgery in Seoul. I could do it domestically, but I've heard that Korean aesthetics and techniques are actually quite different, and my friends all say the medical environment in Seoul is really good, so I'm definitely tempted. But to be honest, I'm a bit torn—taking time off work, buying plane tickets, finding a doctor in an unfamiliar city... all these costs add up.
What worries me most is whether going to Korea really makes that big of a difference. And there's the language barrier too. Even though there are translators, when it comes to medical details, I'm still a bit anxious. Plus, whether I can get proper aftercare during recovery while I'm there is something I want to consider.
Has anyone made a similar decision? How did you weigh all these factors? I'd especially love to hear from people with experience. For instance, what should I pay special attention to during the consultation phase? How long should I plan to stay locally during recovery to be safe? And what should I prepare before leaving the country? I'd really appreciate hearing some honest thoughts.
