Hey everyone! I just joined this community and I'm so excited to be part of it. My name is Hesti, and I'm from Jakarta. I've been lurking through the threads here for a while but only just got the courage to post hehe.
So basically, three years ago I got interested in K-beauty after seeing my friend's skin after she went to Korea for skincare. Her skin was literally glowing, and I got curious about how she did it. Over time, my interest expanded beyond just skincare — I also became curious about the aesthetic treatments that are popular there. I've read about facial treatments, skin lasers, and basically everything that made me want to learn more.
Even now, I'm mostly just experimenting with skincare routines and local treatments, but I keep thinking about what it would be like to actually consult and get treatments done in Korea. Maybe I can try it next year. I'm so happy to have a community like this because there are so many people who share honest experiences, not just marketing stuff.
Nice to meet you all! If anyone here is from Jakarta or has gotten treatments in Korea, I'd love to ask you guys tons of questions later hehe 🥺

Hey Hesti, welcome! 🥰 I'm so happy to have a friend from Jakarta here. I actually got interested in K-beauty the same way—I saw a friend who'd just gotten back from Korea and her skin was absolutely glowing haha. One tip from my experience: when you go to Korea, don't rush into booking anything right away—try their initial consultation first to hear what they recommend, because everyone's skin needs are different. You can share your story here once you go! I'm really glad to have a friend who's curious and asking questions too 💕
Welcome, Hesti! 😊 I'm from the US and totally get what you mean—seeing a friend's skin after they visited Korea is like a whole awakening, right? I've been lurking here for a while too and finally decided to jump in, so I'm really glad you did! I'm actually thinking about planning a trip to Korea next year to explore things in person, so I'd love to hear about your experience once you go. This community is honestly so refreshing because everyone's just real about what works and what doesn't. Looking forward to chatting more!
