Hellooo, I'm Rara from Jakarta! So, I'm planning to get derma treatments in Korea next month, but immediately after, I have to fly out of the country for work. I can't delay the trip, so I'm a bit worried about how to manage swelling while traveling 😅
Can anyone give me tips on how to best take care of swelling on a plane and in a hotel? I'm mostly worried about visible swelling. Plus, what skincare/products should I bring? I know I might need gentle ones and hyaluronic acid, right? Or are there other recommendations people usually use?
I'm also curious, how many days does it usually take for swelling to completely disappear? I've read up on it, and it seems to vary depending on the procedure and the person. Hope someone with experience can share!
Thanks in advance! 💙

Lala, I totally get it! I was in a similar situation, and traveling right after a procedure is really nerve-wracking 😅 On the plane, I tried to sleep with lots of pillows to keep my head elevated, and I felt like the swelling eased up a bit. I also made sure to frequently apply cold compresses at the hotel and avoid salty foods. It seems like swelling varies a lot depending on the type of procedure, so you should definitely tell the doctor you have a business trip coming up when you get it done in Korea!
Reading your story, I feel so empathetic 😅 I've been in the same situation, flying back to Thailand right after a procedure. It seems like you'll need to prepare ice packs and cooling wipes in your luggage. Normally, for the first time, you just have to be patient. As for the swelling reduction timeline, it really depends on each individual. Try asking the experts at the clinic you chose, because they know best what kind of procedure it was and how you should prepare. 加油!
