Hey everyone, I'm in this weird limbo right now and honestly could use some perspective. I've been thinking about getting a procedure done for a while, and I'm stuck between doing it locally here in the US or saving up to do it in Korea. Part of me loves the idea of going to Korea—the reputation for aesthetic work is amazing, and I'd get a trip out of it. But there's also something to be said for doing it nearby where I can easily see my provider for follow-ups and have my support system around me.
I think what's making me hesitate is that I don't really know how to weigh the pros and cons. Like, is the extra cost and travel worth it? How did you all think through this? Did anyone end up regretting going abroad, or do you wish you'd done it sooner? I'm also a little nervous about the language barrier and recovery logistics if something unexpected happens. That might be irrational, but it's on my mind.
If anyone's been through this decision-making process, I'd love to hear how you approached it. What actually mattered to you in the end? And if you have tips on how to research providers in Korea as a foreigner, that would be helpful too. Thanks in advance!

After reading your story, I feel like we're facing the same problem 😅 So I wanted to ask, do you think post-treatment follow-up care is really the biggest concern for you, or is the total cost, including travel, more worrying?
