Hi, my name is Net and I'm from Thailand. I'm considering going abroad for double eyelid surgery and would love to hear your opinions. I'm also wondering if it's worth going overseas, considering the costs of flights, accommodation, and communicating my needs to the doctor, which might be difficult if my language skills aren't strong.
I know South Korea is renowned for its precision and natural-looking results, but I'm unsure if the effect is the same whether my eyes are open or closed. How long does the recovery take? How many days until I can return to Thailand? Does anyone who's been there have any advice?
Has anyone had this procedure done before? Did you feel it was worth it? What preparations were needed? And what kind of clinic would you recommend? (No specific names, just general advice.) I really want to hear your real experiences. Thank you in advance!

I'm actually thinking about this too from the States, and I totally get your concerns about the travel cost and recovery time! From what I've read, a lot of people say it's doable if you can stay for at least a week or so, but I'm also nervous about the language barrier thing—definitely something to figure out before booking anything.
I'm considering this too, and I totally get your concerns about the cost and communication—those are my worries as well 😅 I've heard recovery takes about 1-2 weeks if you just want to go home, but I'm still not totally clear on the details. Has anyone here gone through this already? Would you mind sharing your experience with us?
I'm abroad too and been thinking about this, so when you mentioned the communication issues and travel costs, I really felt that! I have quite a few people around me who've done it there, but it's been a while so I don't have an accurate sense of how long the recovery takes and when you can get back to normal. I'm really looking forward to hearing about other people's real experiences with it.
Oh, I totally understand your concerns! For example, when I went to Korea for the first time, I found that communicating with places there through translation apps or asking staff for help was easier than I expected. And I'd recommend joining forums or chat groups of Thai people who've been there before, because they'll understand our situation the best.
