Hello. I'm in Tokyo, but I've recently been considering getting double eyelid surgery in Seoul. I've heard that Korea is famous for cosmetic medicine and offers more options than Japan. However, I'm honestly hesitant about whether it's worth going abroad. The cost, recovery time, language barrier... I'm feeling quite anxious about all of it.

Are there any people who have actually had surgery abroad? Is it really difficult to handle everything from the initial consultation to post-operative care locally? Also, I'm worried about what to do if something goes wrong after returning to Japan.

It's not so much the surgery itself, but the decision of "doing it abroad" that's difficult. I know Seoul is advanced in cosmetic medicine, but I feel like there are sufficient facilities in Tokyo as well. What do you all think? Is it really worth going to Seoul for a check-out?
