Hi everyone, I'm Ying. I'm considering getting a nose filler in Korea, but I'm flying back to my home country next week. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar treatment? How long does the recovery period usually take? I've heard there might be some swelling or bruising, but I'm not sure exactly how long it takes for them to subside.
Mainly, I want to know how long after the filler injection is it generally safe to take a long-haul flight? Will it affect recovery? I've looked up some information, but it's still a bit unclear. If any of you have had this done, could you share your experiences? Especially regarding the swelling in the first few days and when you felt like you had mostly recovered.
Also, are there any specific things I need to pay attention to before the procedure? For example, how many days should I reasonably set aside in advance? I don't want to still have noticeable swelling when I return home... Thanks, everyone!

Hi! I had the same worry before flying home, hehe. From what my friends who've tried it said, most of them recommend waiting at least a few days before a long flight, especially so the cabin air pressure doesn't worsen any swelling. Perhaps it would be safer if you allow more buffer time before departure to observe your skin's condition first? Hope everything goes smoothly for you! 😊
I completely understand your concerns! I agonized over this for a long time before too, as I also had travel plans. I've heard that swelling is usually more pronounced in the first few days, but the specific recovery time seems to vary from person to person. I recommend being completely upfront with your doctor about your travel plans when you consult them, so they can offer advice tailored to your situation. That way, you'll feel more at ease.
