Hi everyone, I'm Yuhan from Taiwan. I'm currently considering some cosmetic procedures in Korea, but honestly, my Korean is limited, and I can't understand the complex Korean reviews. I'd like to ask you all, as foreigners, how can we determine the credibility of reviews on Google or Naver? Are there any specific warning signs I should be wary of?
I'm a bit confused right now because some reviews seem super positive, but I don't know if they're from real users or paid trolls. I'm also worried about being scammed because I can't understand Korean. Can anyone share their experience? How do you usually filter information? Do you look for reviews in Chinese or English, or are there any techniques to determine the authenticity of Korean reviews?
Also, does anyone know which websites or platforms are more trustworthy? Or is it safer to find a consultant you can communicate with? Thank you so much for your suggestions!

I completely understand how you feel, Yuan! I also struggled with Korean reviews at first. Personally, I found reviews with lots of photos and that mentioned both the good and bad points to be more trustworthy. Also, finding similar comments on multiple platforms might be a helpful factor in making a decision.
Hi! I'm also thinking the same thing, so I totally understand your concern haha. I think reviews that are too perfect and all 5-star ratings are a bit suspicious, so I prefer balanced reviews—some positives but also mention the negatives. I also often try to find reviews from other foreigners or ask directly in community groups like this, because they are more relatable to our situation with limited language. Hopefully, we can find reliable information!
Hi Hữu, have you ever found any English or Chinese reviews for these services? I'm worried like you because I don't understand Korean, so I'd like to know if you have any way to verify information before contacting any place?
