Hi girls! I'm Yasmin from the UAE, and I'm thinking of traveling to Seoul for double eyelid surgery. I've heard a lot about the techniques available there and the results people get, but I'm really hesitant about whether it's worth the effort, cost, and time. Has anyone here tried it and found it to be the right decision?
What scares me a bit is being alone in a foreign country after the surgery, and the follow-up and recovery period are very important. Also, if anything goes wrong or I have questions afterward, how do I contact the doctor? Can anyone advise me on how to choose a reliable clinic without just going to the first ones that appear in search results?
I'm actually torn between going to Seoul or trying something here in the Gulf. There might be fewer options here, but peace of mind plays a big role. I'd love to hear about your experiences if anyone is going to Korea for this. 🤔

Yasmin, I'm also from the UAE and I had the same thought! My question is: Is your main concern recovering alone in a foreign country, or are the travel and accommodation costs also making you consider local options? 😊
Yasmin, I completely understand how you feel! I also came from overseas, so I know you're worried about aftercare. Personally, I think it's important to choose a clinic that provides follow-up care remotely. It's a good idea to find a place where you can communicate properly in English or Japanese before the surgery. 😊
I completely understand how Yasmin feels! I had similar worries. It's understandable to feel anxious about traveling alone from overseas. In my case, I felt that the most important things were choosing a clinic that provides proper post-operative follow-up and relying on recommendations from trustworthy people. I think it's a good idea to carefully check whether they offer language support and how to contact them for aftercare!
I understand your concerns! I also flew from overseas to Seoul for the procedure. The most helpful thing was finding experienced women on local Chinese online forums or Xiaohongshu beforehand. They could tell you about the real recovery process and how to communicate with your doctor. I hope you find a reliable option!
