Hi everyone! I'm Yating from Taiwan. I'm currently considering getting a non-surgical nose filler in Korea, but my concern is that I can only stay in Korea for about a week before I have to fly back to Taipei. I wanted to ask if anyone has undergone a similar procedure? How long is the recovery period usually? Will the swelling be very noticeable, and are there any special precautions I need to take before flying?
I'm a bit worried that if the swelling hasn't subsided by the time I fly back, my family will ask a ton of questions, haha. Has anyone been able to share their experience, and about how long does it take to look more natural? I know everyone's body is different, but I'd like to have a general idea.
Also, I'd like to ask if there are any special aftercare steps needed before or after flying? For example, cold compresses, massage, or is normal moisturizing sufficient? Thank you all!

To Yating, thank you for your hard work! I've also struggled with similar time constraints, so I totally get how you feel. By the way, if you're planning to get treatments, are you thinking of doing it right after arriving in Korea, or a few days before you leave? I feel like the situation might change depending on the timing, so I'd be happy if you could let me know for reference 😊
I was thinking the exact same thing! And I'm worried about swelling too! It's good to check out reviews from people who've had it done before, because everyone's body is different 😊
Urgent! It's hilarious that she said she only has about a week in Korea 😅 If you try it and it's similar to her experience, tell me: do you usually swell up quickly or slowly? Because everyone is so different, I'm curious about how you feel.
Hi Yating! I'm also from Taiwan and totally understand your worries, haha, the feeling of family asking endless questions 😅 I've had similar treatments before, and the swelling usually subsides significantly within three to five days, but it really varies for everyone. A friend of mine was still a bit swollen after a week. If you plan to fly, it might be safer to do the treatment a few days in advance. I personally used cold compresses and drank plenty of water, but it's best to ask your doctor for specific aftercare instructions. Hope your treatment goes smoothly!
Haha, I totally get your worry! I had mine done before I went abroad too, and I was so scared my family would notice when I got back 😅 My experience was that it was a bit swollen for the first three to four days, but by day five or six, it was pretty much unnoticeable. However, everyone really is different. Before my flight, I just did cold compresses and drank a lot of water. I didn't have any special restrictions during the flight, and after I got back, I just went back to my normal moisturizing routine. It didn't feel that complicated!
Hi Yating! I'm curious, how many days before your flight are you planning to get injections? I've had the same concern before and wanted to know if there's an ideal timeframe typically recommended for aesthetic procedures before long-haul flights.
