Hi everyone, I'm Chialing from Taiwan. I've been thinking a lot lately about whether I should fly to Seoul for double eyelid surgery, but honestly, I'm a bit undecided. The techniques in Taiwan should be good too, so why go all the way there? A few of my friends have had procedures done in Korea, and they said the results were very natural and the doctors were meticulous. But I keep wondering... is flying that far, taking time off work, and arranging accommodation really worth it?
I'm mainly concerned about two things: First, if there are any post-operative issues or adjustments needed, would it be a hassle being back in Taiwan? Second, I'm not entirely sure what kind of eye shape would suit me best. Should I consult with someone in Taiwan first before deciding whether to go abroad? Has anyone flown from another country to get procedures done in Korea? I'd love to hear about your entire experience and thoughts! I'm particularly interested in hearing how everyone evaluates whether this kind of "medical tourism" is truly cost-effective.
If anyone has gone through a similar period of hesitation and decision-making, I'd really love to hear what you were thinking at the time!

I understand your concerns. I felt the same way before, unsure if it would suit my face. What really helped me was having an online consultation before going to Korea. I got to see before-and-after photos and talk to people who were there, which boosted my confidence significantly. As for post-surgery follow-up, try looking for clinics that offer video call consultations. It's really helpful when questions come up later 💭
I completely understand how you feel! I also hesitated for a bit, worried that if any issues arose later, it would be difficult to handle while living in another country. But actually, you can research online beforehand and ask for details about follow-up appointments or remote support, which should give you more peace of mind.
