I am in my 20s and considering LASIK.

I've heard that the anesthesia during the surgery is effective, but I am curious about the realistic extent of pain, glare, and foreign body sensation during the first 48 hours after the operation.

Is the pain more severe if the refractive index is high? It would be really helpful if those who managed to endure it with painkillers or prescription artificial tears could share their recovery period and when they might be able to return to screen work.

I am also worried about whether my habit of unconsciously rubbing my eyes while sleeping might negatively affect my recovery.
