Hi, my name is Oil, and I'm planning a trip to South Korea soon for skincare and beauty consultations. I speak English, but not fluently, and I'm worried about communicating with clinics or spas when asking detailed questions about facial treatments.
I'd like to ask if anyone who has been to these places knows a lot of English speakers? Or should I arrange in advance for a translator? I've seen that some places have Thai speakers, but I don't know how many there are.
If anyone has experience, could you tell me if communication was difficult, or if the staff generally spoke English well enough to understand? Thank you!

Hi Oil! In my experience, many places in Seoul have staff who can speak English, but not all of them are fluent, so they can sometimes be a bit slow in explaining details—I recommend using a translation app on your phone while showing photos/pictures of the treatment you want to try, it's much more helpful than just chatting!
Oh, I'm glad to see this post! I'm planning a trip there too! I think finding a place with staff who speak English or Thai would be quite helpful, but it might be best to check in advance via chat or email. 😊
