I've decided to get cosmetic treatments in Korea next month, but I'm struggling with choosing aftercare products. I've heard that the care for the few weeks after returning home is especially important, so I'm wondering if I should bring some things from Japan...
I've seen things like cooling mask sheets, silicone scar tapes, and soothing gels, but has anyone actually used them during a trip after treatment? I'd love to hear honestly what was truly helpful. My luggage is limited, so I want to prioritize.
I know I can probably buy them there, but I feel more at ease with familiar Japanese products. What did everyone else prepare? Also, please let me know if there's anything you had no issues carrying on the plane.

I used to worry just like you, but honestly, buying basic items like hydrating masks and soothing creams in Korea is even cheaper than in Japan. So, I just brought my familiar products from Vietnam to feel at ease. A small tip is to bring clean soft towels and just focus on hydration + sun protection; you don't need too many products!
I understand! I had the same concern and ended up only bringing sheet masks and calming gel. Since luggage is limited and many things can be bought locally, it might be best to bring only the absolute essentials from Japan. I had to be careful because gel products are treated as liquids for carry-on!
I've worried about this too! In my experience, the most useful are sheet masks that can be kept in your bag—they're practical and small. For local products, you might be able to find them there, but it's definitely more reassuring to bring ones from home that you already know suit your skin, hehe.
I was worried about this too before I left! Actually, local products there are also good and easy to find, but I totally understand why it's more reassuring to use what you're already familiar with from home—you feel more confident about the ingredients. If I could offer a suggestion, maybe bring thin sheet masks so they don't add weight to your luggage, and make sure everything is travel-sized to be safe for carrying on the plane.
