Hi, it's Haruka. I'm thinking about getting aesthetic treatments or procedures in Korea, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to read online reviews. My Korean isn't that great, so I use translation tools, but I can't tell if the reviews are genuine or fake... 😅
How do you all choose your clinics? Are there any red flags or points that make you think, "Hmm, this seems suspicious"? For example, places with an overwhelming number of positive reviews, or those that heavily market themselves towards Japanese people – are those okay?
I'd like to visit in person for a consultation, but I want to gather at least some reliable information beforehand. I'd be grateful if you could share your experiences as foreigners, or any points to check besides reviews.

Hi Haruka! I totally understand the confusion, as I've been there too when looking for referrals here. By the way, when you consult, will the staff speak English or Japanese fluently? I'm curious, as clear communication is crucial for understanding what can actually be done.
Haruka, you asked a good question! I'm also thinking about getting some services from Korea at the moment. I think it's best to get a consultation yourself, because when you talk to the specialist, you'll know if there's any kind of trust in them. 😊
Hey Haruka, I totally get the frustration—I'm in the same boat trying to figure out what's real and what's just marketing hype! Honestly, I've been thinking the in-person consultation route is probably the safest bet too, just so you can ask questions directly and get a real feel for the place.
I understand your concerns. I'm researching this myself and find tool-translated reviews that seem overly promotional very worrying. Now, I choose to check multiple sources and consult directly to get a more accurate sense of the situation. Someone suggested I look at people who don't just say positive things, as that seems more trustworthy.
I had the same problem! My tip is to look at reviews with real before/after photos from regular customers (not heavily edited) and also read negative reviews to get a better understanding. Additionally, asking directly about their experiences with foreign customers during consultations also helps me feel more confident 😊
