Hey everyone! I'm planning a trip to Seoul in a few months and I'm seriously considering getting some aesthetic work done while I'm there. I've been researching a lot, but I'm honestly a bit nervous about the language thing. My Korean is basically nonexistent (like, I can order coffee and that's about it 😅).
I've seen a bunch of posts about people getting consultations and procedures done in Seoul, but I'm wondering — do most clinics have English-speaking staff? Or should I be looking specifically for places that advertise English consultations? I'm not expecting everyone to be fluent, but I want to make sure I can actually communicate what I want and understand what's being recommended to me.
Has anyone here had a consultation in English at a clinic in Seoul? How was the experience? Did you feel like you could ask all your questions and really understand the process? I'm also curious if it's worth bringing a translator or if that's overkill. Any advice would be super helpful!

わかります、言語の不安すごくよくわかります！😅 私も日本語しかできないので、事前にメールで英語対応できるか確認してから予約するのがおすすめですよ。大きめのクリニックだと英語スタッフがいることが多いので、そういうところを選ぶといいかもしれません。
ฉันไปเที่ยวโซลเดือนที่แล้วและลองทำ treatment ที่นั่น ความจริงคือหลายที่มีพนักงานที่พูดอังกฤษได้เลย แต่ฉันยังไปพร้อมกับแปลด้วยเพื่อให้แน่ใจว่าฉันเข้าใจทุกอย่าง 😅 ลองหาที่ที่มี coordinator ที่พูดอังกฤษแล้วจะสบายใจกว่า!
Aku totally relate sama khawatir bahasa-mu! Kemarin aku juga nervous banget soal ini, tapi ternyata banyak tempat di Seoul yang punya staff yang bisa bahasa Inggris, terutama untuk prosedur kecantikan—kayaknya mereka udah terbiasa sama international clients. Mungkin bisa cari yang punya consultation online dulu biar bisa clear communication sebelum datang, jadi lebih tenang waktu treatment-nya 😊
Chị/anh ơi, mình cũng đang lo lắng chuyện này! Chị/anh có thử liên hệ trước với những chỗ mình định đến để hỏi xem họ có nhân viên tiếng Anh không, hay là chị/anh sẽ tìm một người hỗ trợ ngôn ngữ khi đến đó?
我也在考虑同样的事情呢！听说首尔很多医美诊所都有会英文的咨询师，尤其是国际患者比较多的地方，但确实还是要提前问清楚。我觉得可以先用翻译软件或者邮件咨询一下，看看他们的英文沟通水平怎么样，这样心里会更有底。
