Hi! I'm Megan from California and I just found this community – I'm so excited to be here! I've been lurking for a bit and you all seem amazing. So I grew up with pretty standard American skincare routines, nothing fancy, but like two years ago my coworker introduced me to some Korean skincare products and I was genuinely shocked at how much my skin improved. Since then I've fallen down the whole rabbit hole lol.
I'm not gonna lie, I got interested in K-beauty treatments after watching some content about skin procedures that are really popular in Korea. The approach seems so different from what I'm used to – way more focused on prevention and maintenance rather than just fixing things after they go wrong? I'm really curious about learning more about the culture around aesthetics here too, not just the treatments themselves.
I'm thinking about maybe planning a trip to Korea eventually (partly for the beauty tourism aspect, ngl) but I have no idea where to even start. Has anyone else done this? I'd love to hear about your experiences and learn from this community. Super grateful to be here! 💕

Wow, Megan, your experience is so relatable! I only discovered how good my skin could be after using Korean skincare products, and now I'm hopeless, haha. The concept of prevention being better than repair is so smart; it seems like Korean women really take their skin seriously. I'm also planning a trip to Seoul; I've heard the beauty culture there is completely different. I look forward to hearing your sharing in the future!
