Hi everyone! My name is Aon. Next month, I'm going to Seoul alone for the first time in my life, and I'm so excited 😭. I really want to try authentic Korean skincare because everyone else's skin looks so dewy and beautiful. But I don't know where to start. Has anyone been and tried anything they genuinely loved?
I have combination-oily skin with a bit of acne. I want to achieve that "glass skin" look. I'm thinking about trying treatments like this, but I'm completely clueless. Has anyone else who's a beginner like me gone before and what was your experience like? Did you document it anywhere?
And if anyone is Thai and believes in the K-beauty philosophy, please share some tips! Where should I go, or what products should I try? I'm planning my trip and want to make the most of it. Thank you so much in advance! 💕

Hello On-i! I have a similar skin type, and what helped me the most when I visited Seoul was learning how to properly layer toners and essences for combination skin at a local pharmacy. 😊 It seemed complicated at first, but my skin truly transformed. When you travel, the pharmacy staff will ask about your skin type and give recommendations, so don't hesitate to ask them!
Hi On, I'm also planning my first trip to Seoul and want to experience Korean skincare! I have combination skin too, so I found your post very relatable. I'm currently researching suitable treatments and products. Wishing you a wonderful trip and lots of exciting discoveries! 💕
On, that's a wonderful travel plan! I'm just as interested in skincare as you are, and I'm hoping to try a lot of new things during this trip. We also both struggle with oily skin, so I really relate to that 😭 Korean skincare routines have such a great reputation, let's do our best together!
On-san, your first trip to Seoul sounds wonderful! I have combination skin too and it's similar, but I have a question: when you say "treatment," are you thinking of things you can do yourself, like serums or sheet masks? Or are you hoping to receive treatments like facials?
Oh, and have you tried walking around Myeongdong yet? There are so many Korean products! When I first went, I started by trying basic skincare, then gradually added steps according to my skin condition, which helped a lot! 💕
Hi Oni! Your Seoul trip plans sound so exciting! I'm curious, when you mentioned wanting moisturizing skincare, have you tried Korean products before, or is this your very first time? Because I have combination skin like you, I'm wondering if you'll need an adjustment period before trying treatments there 😊
